SENPAI – 28” X 20” -Acrylic and other material on canvas. SENPAI indicates a high level of skills in Japanese dialect. Here, our subject (a right-handed guy) reached the black belt in karate. Therefore he deserves a certain respect. Besides this outstanding distinction, he studied at the prestigious Montreal’s Ecole Polytechnique (Polytechnical School). On the left side of his chest is a silhouette of Gamine (Teckel breed / pet). It is in her honour that I entitled this piece: “GAMINE” (French for young girl).
