This character was created for a keen admirer of dogs, man’s best friend. On the left side of his chest is a silhouette of Gamine (Teckel breed / pet). It is in her honour that I entitled this piece: “GAMINE” (French for young girl). Given that the owner of this piece resides on Le Plateau de Montreal (neighbourhood), we can find in the background, the majestic Jacques-Cartier Bridge (right eyebrow) and a map of Montreal (on branch). Through the feathers, we can also find a few names of his preferred doggies with their respective breed descriptions.
