It is a surprise gift from Maria-Victoria to her husband Richard. Embedded within the layers of paint, you will find items that symbolize their loving journey. It celebrates when our town was founded, in 1897.  Embedded within the layers of paint, you find the history of North Hatley as well as a map of the railway tracks that were then serving the region. Textures: history of North Hatley, stones from the Pleasant View Beach, plaster and burlap.

CRÉPUSCULE SUR BELLEVUE - 24” X 16” - Acrylique et techniques mixtes sur boisCette toile abstraite évoque la lumière du soleil se reflétant sur le mont Bellevue, situé juste en amont du campus de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Les pastels et les tons jaunes, orangés et rouges se mêlent aux formes géométriques représentant les différentes espèces d’arbres de la montagne. Many thanks to Julia Gray for her new purchase. This piece, entitled ENSEMBLE (together), was in an auction to raise funds for BLEU MASSAWIPPI. Our common goal is to safeguard the waters of our beloved Lac Massawippi. SAMSON ENSEMBLE - 36” x 48” - Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
