IMAGINE - 28” X 50” - Acrylique et techniques mixtes sur bois Dans un monde marqué par les guerres et divisions entre peuples, cultures, religions et identités, cette œuvre se veut un symbole d’espoir. À travers les couches de peinture émergent des mots réconfortants et symboles qui invitent à sourire. J’ai intitulé cette œuvre « IMAGINE », en référence à la célèbre chanson de John Lennon qui évoque l’espoir d’un monde meilleur, où les différences deviennent une richesse plutôt qu’une source de division. En texture: jute, découpures de revues et bandes dessinées des années 1940, etc.

It announces the light after the night and embodies the ability to rise again and move forward. In this composition, the rooster’s plumes tell a family story. Within this vibrant and colourful arrangement, certain feathers evoke the flags of China, Ireland, Uganda, Tanzania, and India — the countries of origin of the parents of the new owners of this artwork. FIERTÉ – 26” x 36” - Acrylic and mixed media on wood This work celebrates a great man born in 1953 in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, more specifically in the village of Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. Between the layers of paint, several symbolic elements emerge, tracing the story of his life on personal, family, and professional levels.
