TOKYO : 72” X 72” – Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

This commissioned piece is the 4th version in my cow series.  Its composition is similar to its three cousins, however it stands out with its unique colour choices, designs, patterns and personalized items.

Because of the owner’s strong ties to Japan, I have entitled this painting: TOKYO.  Notice it on the left ear.

FRIDA KALHO’s life was very significant to this SAMSON collector.  For this reason, a love letter from FRIDA to her Diego is incorporated into the upper portion of the painting.

The colours of Colombia are also of importance here.  Therefore, they are represented by the yellow, blue and red stripes above our muse’s right eye.

Equestrian and Skiing are an integral part of this Bromont resident’s life. Hence, the horseshoe on the nose of our lady as well as one of the last printed articles of Montreal newspaper LA PRESSE, December 2017 on Quebec’s 2017-2018 winter forecast (bottom of the canvas).

Furthermore, you will find items of our Quebec heritage with a map of Montreal’s metro system and Fleurs de Lys, symbolizing french royalty and the province of Quebec, a former french colony.
