“ALEXANDER” – 30” X 40” – Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

This unique and prismatic piece was created to highlight the 80th anniversary of the Orchestre Classique de Montréal founded in 1939. It pays tribute to his founder Alexander Brott. Today, his son Boris Brott remains the artistic director and conductor of the orchestra.

Embedded within the layers of paint, you will find a signed music score of the father (ALEXANDER), dated on March 8th, 1954. You will also notice the works of the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”. Furthermore, you observe the map of the city of Montreal with a focus on the McGill University Campus, where the prestigious musical institution originated.

I would like to thank the general director, Taras Kulish and his team for the trust they have placed in me in what I consider a large-scaled artistic achievement.
