GEORGE — 48” x 48” – Acrylic and mixed media on wood
This personalized piece pays tribute to a couple from Georgeville, a charming village on the shores of the magnificent Lake Memphremagog.
During our very first meeting, the couple gave me complete creative freedom for this project. Their only requests for their rabbit were simple: to include a heart, a pink background, and touches of blue and yellow. An important detail: pink, the dominant colour of this piece, symbolizes a sincere and gentle love filled with tenderness.
I must admit that I felt immense joy while painting this character. Through my art, my greatest wish is to convey happiness and emotion to those who embrace it. If this character awakened such deep joy in me, I trust it will also touch the hearts of Christiane and Stéphane.
I chose to title this work GEORGE to honour the splendid village of Georgeville, a place dear to me since childhood.
