MON CRAPET-SOLEIL – 30” X 24”

When I was a boy my family and I would spend our summers at Lake Magog in the Eatern Townships. I remember that no one liked sunfish because they are edible and they nibble at your toes! But I found them magnificent. They way the sun reflected on their colourful scales made the sunfish flamboyant. Perhaps this painting will allow you to appreciate this fish as well.

Textures created with a map of the Montreal metro station, a sketch of Quebec cartoonist Michel Rabagliati, newspaper articles, Batman, plaster and burlap.
