BIG GIRLS NEED BIG DIAMONDS – 36″ X 48″ - Acrylic and mixed media on wood Born in 1932, Elizabeth Taylor left quite a legacy behind her.  Other than her extensive diamond collection (see her quote: BIG GIRLS NEED BIG DIAMONDS).  The lady with violet eyes played in over 60 movies during her career.  Please find on the painting “Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf" for which she won an Oscar in 1967. It celebrates when our town was founded, in 1897.  Embedded within the layers of paint, you find the history of North Hatley as well as a map of the railway tracks that were then serving the region.
