“LA POUTINE” – 40” X 30” – Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
As you know, I like to incorporate personal experiences and culture into my art work. For this piece, I’ve chosen one of Quebec’s best known delights: LA POUTINE. Embedded within the layers of paint, you will find tips and secrets on how to make the perfect Poutine, our Chef Ricardo’s delectable gravy recipe and of course, the very controversial origin of this little indulgence. Story says that it all started at RESTAURANT IDÉAL in Warwick, QC in the 1950’s. Bon appétit!!
