TOMBER DANS LES POMMES - 18” X 18” – Acrylic and mixed media on canvas. This French expression "to fall in the apples" means to faint or, in this case, to be flabbergasted or go into ecstasy. Well, this painting, says it all. This young actor and model, in his spare time, has been painted several times in my different versions of “FRIDA AND HER CAT”. He was looking forward to his new role, so here it is! Texture: Plaster, wire mesh and newspaper articles.

Here, our character patiently awaits his master, ready to embark on a romantic and colourful escapade with a bottle of wine from the Jacques Cartier 1534 reserve, nothing less. Embedded within the layers of paint, you will find Montreal newspaper articles on Winter Cycling, the Montreal Metro map and a photo of our favorite explorer, Jacques Cartier.
